QDB provides financing solutions to startups and existing companies in the education sector for the purpose of building or expanding buildings, and financing machinery and equipment required for education purposes.

QDB works to support entrepreneurs investing in the industrial sector by financing existing or under construction plants.
- Financing up to 60% of the total value of the project.
- Financing up to 80% of the value of equipment and machinery (excluding buildings)
- The maximum tenor period is 15 years, with a maximum grace period of 3 years
- Profit rate up to 5% maximum.
- The Bank also finances 100% of the salaries and rents value for the first 6 months.
In light of Qatar’s efforts to serve farmers and livestock breeders, QDB has been keen on developing financing programs aimed at supporting the food security system through providing funding for livestock sector projects that contribute to self-sufficiency.
Purpose of funding: Financing female cattle of all kinds that are approved by the Animal Wealth Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment.
Farms:
- Financing up to 750,000 QAR per farm
- The maximum tenor period is 8 years with a grace period of maximum one year
- Profit rate starting from 1% + insurance fees
Izbaa:
- Financing up to 250,000 QAR per Izbaa
- The maximum repayment period is 5 years with a maximum grace period of one year, with a profit rate starting from 1% + insurance fees
Including the purchase of an engine and the purchase of equipment, fishing gear, communication equipment and protection.
Financing of fishing boats:
- Financing up to 350,000 QAR per boat including purchase of new boat (depending on the length of the boat)
- Financing up to 250,000 QAR for equipment, engine, and refrigeration unit
- The maximum tenor period is 6 years with a maximum grace period of two months
Financing of fishing vessels:
- Financing up to 250,000 QAR for each wooden boat (not including the purchase of new vessel)
- Financing up to 100,000 QAR for fishing gear
- The maximum tenor period is 5 years with a grace period of two months maximum
- Profit rate starting from 1% + insurance fees
- Maximum of one million QAR per farm (greenhouses, irrigation equipment, desalination plants)
- The maximum tenor period is 10 years, with a maximum grace period of one year
* Other projects in the sectors (agriculture, fisheries and livestock) that are not mentioned are subject to the following conditions:
- Financing up to 60% of the total value of the project

- Maximum profit rate of 5%

Entrepreneurial Score - the project is assessed as a high degree of Entrepreneurial value and is highly expected to foster the entrepreneurship culture in Qatar
IP/ Technology Requirement - higher Score for high end Technology requirement and creates new IP for Qatar
Demand - Supply Gap – must have or expected to have a positive Demand- Supply gap in Qatar
Raw material - sector extensively uses available raw material
Environment and Energy Resources - highly environment friendly and uses only renewable energy sources
Scalability and Expanding - high export oriented sector
Labor Intensity - very minimum labor requirement or those with high local manpower
Import reduction – project can reduce Qatar reliance on imports of the particular product.
The company applying for bank funding must meet the following conditions:
- Submit the application under the ownership of a Qatari citizen (Qatari Identity Card).
- The project to be funded shall be among the sectors supported and financed by the Bank.
- The company should provide a feasibility study for the project to be financed.
- The company should be headquartered in Qatar (for existing and emerging projects).
- The Company shall comply with Qatari law governing commercial companies.
- The company must obtain all necessary licenses for the project.
